I am Dawn Bell, an Aspiring Writer living in Winter Park, Florida. My husband and I moved here fourteen years ago from Wisconsin where we were both raised, and then met in college. I am an honors graduate of UW-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Dietetics. After graduation I held sales positions in the Promotional Marketing and Pharmaceutical industries.
In April of 2011, I retired from the Pharmaceutical Sales industry to care for my young daughter, and to pursue my goal of publishing this memoir. My previous works include short stories and one children’s book, Monsters Don’t Like Pink.
In 2011 I became a member of FWA, the Florida Writer’s Association and then joined the Seminole County Writer’s Group in 2012. >>> Learn More About Dawn
Wife of the Deceased Synopsis:
Wife of the Deceased is a personal memoir that spans the three years following the tragic and unexpected death of my husband, Matthew Bell, at 38 years of age. The content is drawn from my journal entries depicting every aspect of my journey through the grieving process.
This is a very raw and uncensored account of the physical, mental, and emotional effects of grief that I experienced following his death.
My goal in writing Wife of the Deceased is to first honor my husband and the man he was. Secondly, I hope to help anyone in a similar situation by sharing my account of the stages of grief; the extreme rage I felt, the seemingly insane thoughts that went through my head on a day-to-day basis, and the physical assault my body suffered.
My hope is to attest to and validate what a griever is feeling and perhaps ease a fraction of the pain and anguish they are living with everyday. >>> Learn More about Her Upcoming Memoir
